Homes: Hamilton (North Vancouver)
The Hamilton area is nestled between McKay Creek, Mosquito Creek and Wagg and Thain Creeks, and has industrial lands south of Marine Drive and residential area north of Marine Drive, up to the Upper Levels, in between the ravines. Hamilton is one of the oldest areas of North Vancouver, and as a result of years of home building has a mix of zoning. Shopping There are lots of options, with Marine Drive and its many stores and restaurants just down the hill, and mid-sized Capilano Mall. Further west is the larger Park Royal Shopping Centre, and a bit to the east is Lonsdale Quay Market and the shops up Lonsdale Avenue. Schools The neighbourhood is served by Westview Elementary, north of Keith Road. The nearest high school is Carson Graham. Recreation The neighbourhood is surrounded by parks along the creek ravines. The Burrard Yacht Club is located along the waterfront below the Auto Mall. Homes The neighbourhood has many "character" homes, several with impressive panoramic views of downtown Vancouver. Lower parts of Hamilton have seen run down World War II-era houses being replaced by condos and townhouses, which have attracted younger families to the community.
